For millions of pensioners, November is a stressful month. The Digital Life Certificate (DLC) or Jeevan Pramaan has solved this, but technology can be tricky for seniors.

1. The Face Auth Revolution

You usually don't even need a fingerprint scanner anymore. The AadhaarFaceRd app allows your phone's camera to act as the scanner. What you need:

2. Open Jeevan Pramaan. Register yourself (the operator) first with Aadhaar/Mobile.
3. Select "Pensioner Authentication".
4. Enter Pensioner details (Aadhaar, PPO Number, Bank Account).
5. Scan Face: Hold the phone steady. Blink your eyes when asked.
6. Success! The DLC is instantly generated and sent to your bank. You get an SMS ID.

3. The "Doorstep Banking" Option

If you can't use a smartphone, you don't have to go to the bank. Book a Doorstep Request via:

• Postman: The Postman carries a biometric device. He will come home and do it for ₹70. use the Post Info app to book.
• Bank Agents: PSU banks offer doorstep banking for seniors (70+).
